Meeting of the Council of Ministers for European Affairs held on 21 March: conclusions
On Monday 21 March, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sophie Wilmès, and her counterparts met in Brussels for a sixth Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting since the start of the year, primarily dedicated to the war in Ukraine. For more than a century, 8 March – International Women's Rights Day – has been used to highlight women's social, political, economic and cultural achievements, while promoting gender equality and the human rights of women and girls. This last point is particularly relevant in the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine. Human rights are all too often violated during wartime.

NATO's Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting: conclusions
Today, Friday 4 March, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sophie Wilmès participated in an extraordinary NATO ministerial meeting. This meeting was extended to include the Foreign Ministers of Finland and Sweden, as well as the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell. The goal was to take stock of Russia's military aggression in Ukraine.
